experience in Local Government:
Dubbo City Council:
- NAMAF Improvement Plan, taking Council from a compliance level of 43% to over 90%
- Design of Residential Subdivisions (Stage 8): Water, Sewer, Drainage, Road, Kerb
& Gutter
- Design of Traffic Facilities
- Development of first organisational GIS Strategy
- CBD Beautification Design / Design Coordination - Macquarie Street: Achieved Engineering
Excellence Award. Included public forums presenting on design options
- Implementation of full cost recovery to Technical Support Branch
- Development of the first Stormwater, Traffic and Technical Support Function Plans
- Successful design and grant applications ($772,000) for Wetland and SQIDs
- Project managed the development of Catchment Management Plans for Troy Creek
Centroc:
- Development of Priority Regional Infrastructure Strategy for this group of 17 Councils
analysing Transport requirements, Water and other utilities to assist in lobbying
for grant funds.
Orange City Council:
- Project Management of the development of 6 comprehensive asset management plans
for Water, Sewer, Drainage, Transport, Buildings and Open Space, covering nearly
$1 billion in infrastructure
- Development of an Asset Management Policy and Strategy
- Project management and development of procedures / templates to enable Federal accreditation
of Council's OHS System (Council received a Highly Commended Award from Workcover
in October 2011 for the System).
- Development of Project Management Plan, Asset & Operational Plan, Risk Management Plan,
Procurement Plan and Quality Management Plan for mulit million dollar grant application
Wellington Council (NSW):
- Specification and Contract documentation, calling quotations for central Kerb Islands
- Development of Vegetation Assessment Package for sensitivity mapping on road corridors
in Wellington, Gilgandra and Blayney Council areas
Mudgee Shire / Mid-Western Regional Council:
- Road works capital construction projects
- Development of first Road Network Strategic Plan in 2003, reviewed annually
- Development of first Pathway, Recreational and Building Asset Management plans
- Grant funding from Auslink ($2.1 million) and construction to seal 43km on Bylong
Valley Way
- Increased Council's capacity to undertake RTA work, moving from R1 to R2 and then
R5 prequalification
- Market Street main street improvement program including public consultation
- New roundabouts at Short / Church Streets, Perry St / Byron Place, Perry St/Market
St
- Black Bull Hill road works on the Castlereagh Highway valued over $2 million
- Funding approval for bridge at Yamble
- Development of over 20 road related policies
Brisbane City Council:
- Stormwater Quality Improvement Devices (SQID) design and assessment for Brisbane
CBD, and Ferney Grove
- Development of Bulimba Creek Waterway Management Plan
- Project Management of Stormwater Management Plan for Carrara Catchment (Gold Coast),
that achieved $1 million grant funding
